Located close to Calistoga, Napa Valley and Lake County Vineyards, and Harbin Hot Springs in the Mayacama Mountains, and only 2 hrs away from San Francisco, the Bay Area, or Sacramento. Backyard Garden Oasis is an exquisite respite for those wanting a nature-filled retreat surrounded by some of California’s most beautiful country.
Backyard Garden Oasis often offers specials, like our May Wildflowers $99 Special, or our Save 50% Massage Special, so do check back regularly . Our regular rates are $159 per night on weekends and $139 per night during the week.
Backyard Garden Oasis offers three separate, light-filled, contemporary cabins, each with it’s own deck, shower and bathroom, fireplace and air conditioning, as well as a refrigerator and coffee maker; making it the perfect retreat for those wishing to avoid crowds.
Greta, your hostess, is also a Massage Therapist with an inviting massage studio on the property. She makes a truly delicious breakfast and is happy to accommodate all types of special diets from bacon and eggs to vegan or lactose intolerant dishes...see our wonderful reviews .
We created the Oasis to be a perfectly beautiful, peaceful sanctuary, existing in harmony with the earth, enhancing its beauty, and reveling in its bounty. The cottages were designed to be private and energy efficient with excellent insulation and double-paned windows. These conserve energy put out by the fireplaces and air conditioning and also provide sound-proofing.
Beginning in 1997, when the Oasis first opened, we have recycled, and, using organic techniques, grown as much of their own food as possible. Greta is an avid gardener, she writes, “raising my own food has been a joy and a challenge for over 30 years. I started with a window box planted with radishes and I was hooked. I have made the Oasis’s organic garden to be a place where guests are free to wander... to sample ... to learn ... to experience ... to pull weeds if they want to really experience the earth, and the bountiful landscaping of trees, flowers, and plantings.” Guests also enjoy the fruits of these labors in the organic produce taken directly from the garden and then used in their delicious breakfasts.
Backyard Garden Oasis is located in the Collayomi Valley on the Northern slope of Mt. St. Helena at the northern end of the Napa Valley. The land here is among the most pristine in the area, with much of the original forests remaining and clear and clean running creeks. California Quail abound. Some of our many property features include – an open-air hot tub, a waterfall, a pond, , a large lawn ... a sacred meditation circle and outdoor lounging areas. Everywhere you look you will find beauty and scenic areas, especially at the Oasis and on the drives to nearby Middletown or Calistoga.
